Meeting in the wood

September is love time for fallow deers. This morning the air resounds with the voices of male adults, fighting inside the wood. Sometimes I hear their antlers crashing. Just a few meters in front of me, a "palancone" (young male) is not interested at all in adults affairs and is just looking at me in an elegant pose.
